About Us

My name is Beth and I’ve spent the last 18 years helping businesses become more organised, efficient and successful.

First and foremost, I love organising. I love a list and I love the sweet satisfaction of executing tasks in an efficient but exceptional way. Over the years my role has evolved far beyond administration, and I’ve built experience across operations, project management, marketing, brand design, analysis, business development, HR and events (plus a whole lot more!). You name it, I’ve probably done it.

I’ve learnt from being on the job, working for large organisations across Engineering, Consulting, Insurance and Private Equity, as well as within the performance industry across TV, Theatre and Film. More recently, I've brought that same operational thinking into the online business space, supporting founders, coaches and membership businesses with client experience and business operations.

Being driven by both my analytical and creative sides has always been one of my biggest strengths. One minute I’ll happily lose myself in a spreadsheet, the next I’ll be designing a sales page, planning a launch or helping solve a business problem. I genuinely love getting to know people, understanding how they work and becoming an on-hand thought partner. Whatever your business, your industry or your challenge, my aim is always the same: to make things simpler, more organised and easier to manage.

I am a mum of two and, for a little while, it was two under two, so I know more than anyone how it feels to be overwhelmed and feel like you’re constantly trying to stay afloat. Becoming a mum changed how I work. It reinforced the importance of creating systems, simplifying processes and making the most of the time you have, and those same principles are at the heart of how I support my clients today.

With all seriousness, it was that desire to be the best in my new role as a mum that led me to setting up The BOSS Word.

The name was inspired by everything the word BOSS represents to me:

• Back Office Support – the invisible support behind every successful business. Often unseen, but fundamental to keeping everything running smoothly.
• Working with Bosses – ambitious, inspiring business owners who care deeply about what they do and need someone they can genuinely rely on.
• Being a BOSS Mum – creating a business that allows me to set my own boundaries, build a career around my family and make a real impact supporting other small businesses.

And so The BOSS Word was born, and the adventure began.
