About Us

My name is Beth and I've been working in administration for over 18 years. First and foremost I love organising, I love a list, the sweet sweet satisfaction from executing tasks in an efficient but exceptional way. I have multi-faceted experience across a range of disciplines Marketing, Brand Design, Analysis, Project Management, HR, Operations, PA, Business Development and Event Planning (plus a whole lot more). You name it I've probably done it. I've learnt from being on the job working for large successful companies from Engineering, Consulting and Financial Services (Insurance & Private Equity). I also have experience working in the performance industry across TV, Theatre and Film. With a passion for analysis sticking my headphones on and losing myself in a spreadsheet, alongside a real desire to get to know people and connect and be an on hand thought partner, whilst also having a need to create whether through brand design or through events. Being driven by both my analytical and creative sides hopefully makes me the best of both worlds, whatever your business, your industry and your needs.

I am a mum of two and for a little while it was two under two so I know more than anyone how it feels to be overwhelmed and the need to swim so you don't sink. Nothing will challenge your ability to multi task like bed and bathtime for two little ones, trust me!

With all seriousness it was a desire to be the best in my new role as a mum that led me to setting up The BOSS Word. I was motivated by all the different elements behind the word BOSS;

• The very practical Back Office Support Services which are always the invisible support behind any company but the support that is fundamental and without which any ambitious companies can falter
• The ability to work directly with BOSSes, the ambitious, truly inspirational individuals that care deeply and work excruciatingly hard for their business or for a business they are part of
• Being a BOSS mum, my own BOSS being able to set my own boundaries to have that balance. To be able to focus on work, industries and people that inspire me, being able to make real, impactful difference to small businesses

And so The BOSS Word was born and the adventure began.
